Introduction
The Nodeul Island is a cultural complex located in the middle of the Hangang Bridge.
Nodeul Island was cherished as the center of river culture in the heart of the Hangang River from the 1930s to the 1950s. Nodeul Island, in its current form, opened in September 2019 and has been newly operated by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture starting from 2024. Therefore, Nodeul Island is transforming into a landmark in the Hangang River, known as ‘Art Island Nodeul,’ where nature and art converge. It offers various cultural and artistic enjoyment spaces, including a 450-seat concert hall <Nodeul Live House>, exhibition spaces <Nodeul Gallery 1, 2>, and <Nodeul Bookstore>.
